Whaling Days is a free, family‑oriented, volunteer‑run festival right in Old Town Silverdale, that’s been having a blast since 1974!

Each summer, this longtime Kitsap tradition features food, entertainment, fun community events—and raises funds for local charities and scholarships

Family fun includes kids games, vendor booths, the parade, demolition derby, fireworks, a Star Wars costume contest, drone show—and of course: snacks & drinks!

Event Schedule at a Glance

Friday, July 25

  • Dusk – Fireworks at the waterfront park

  • 5–8 PM – Info booth, street vendors

  • 5–10 PM – Food vendors + 21+ Beer & Wine Garden

  • 5–10 PM – Family stage fun & main stage entertainment

Saturday, July 26

  • 8:15 AM – Whale of a Run: 4‑mile race, 1‑mile walk/run, kids & Special Olympics dashes

  • 10 AM – Grand Parade in downtown Silverdale

  • 11 AM–8 PM – Info booth

  • 11 AM - 10PM - Vendors, family stage,

  • 12 PM - 10 PM - 21+ beer/wine garden

  • 12 PM - 10 PM - Main Stage entertainment

  • 11 PM–10 PM – Family Fun area

  • 5:30 PM – KDDA Demolition Derby at Thunderbird Stadium

  • 10 PM (approx) – Drone show over the waterfront

Sunday, July 27

  • 11 AM–5 PM – Info booth

  • 11 AM–6PM food & vendors, family stage,

  • 12 PM–6PM - 21+ Beer/wine garden

  • 12–5:45 PM – Main stage music lineup

  • 3 PM – Rotary Duck Race

don’t miss the Silverdale Lions Grand Parade

The Parade starts at 10 AM on Saturday. It always draws a great crowd with plenty of local floats. Grab your spot and join the fun!

Stay All Weekend: Bring lawn chairs for stage shows; grab a cold one at the beer garden. The family stage is perfect for kids’ downtime.
